Varchawada Beach
Varchawada Beach
Varchawada Beach lies along the upper (varcha — "upper") settlement of Kasheli, sheltered between rocky headlands. It is a longer, broader stretch than Devghali, and the locals consider it the village’s main bathing beach.
What to expect
- Wide flat sands at low tide — popular for an evening walk among the village families.
- Fishermen launch and land their boats here; mornings often have small catches being sorted on the sand.
- Rocky points at either end of the bay are good for tide-pool exploration when the sea is calm.
How to reach
Varchawada Beach is approached through the Varchawada neighbourhood of Kasheli. Follow the road north from the village centre; the beach is signposted as you approach. The motorable road comes very close to the sand.
Visit at low tide for the widest beach; sunsets here are dramatic when the western horizon is clear.
