The people of Kasheli
Kasheli has a population of roughly 3,000. Although far from the nearest towns, it is well connected by modern services.
Village layout
Settlement is split broadly between the Varcha Wada (upper hamlet) and Khalcha Wada (lower hamlet). Smaller wadas include Durgwada, Agvekarwadi, Phodkarwadi, Kombhewadi, Sawrewadi, Sutarwadi, Awalichivadi, Tellivadi and Bouddhvadi.
Communities & civic life

Health facilities
The Late Shridhar Balaji Kulkarni Memorial Committee purchased land and built a 40′ × 20′ permanent building; plans are in hand to start a dispensary with a resident doctor. A village medical store is already in operation.

Local self-government
An active Kasheli Gram Panchayat oversees village development. As of 1987–88 the Chairman/Sarpanch was Shri Sadashiv Bhagvant Palsule and Vice-Sarpanch Shri Ramesh Pandurang Olkar.
